Brentwood Presbyterian Church Hands Out Oranges to Marathon Runners

Brentwood church pastor says since the L.A. Marathon shuts down San Vicente Boulevard and Sunday service, they do service projects, like hand out oranges and water to weary runners.

As thousands of Los Angeles Marathon runners came through Brentwood on Sunday, March 17, the one videographer caught the pastor and parish of presbyterian church handing out water and oranges to runners.

Pastor David Carpenter told Liset Marquez of Ontario Now on camera that since the marathon shuts down the San Vicente Boulevard church on Sunday morning, the parish does spends the weekend doing service projects around the city.

And one of those projects is passing out oranges and water to the tired but faithful marathon runners for an extra energy boost.
