1. Historical ballroom dancers Cynthia Harper and James Zimmer will demonstrate popular French dances from the 18th century at the Getty Museum at 1 p.m. They'll also discuss the importance of dance in the prosperous world of Rococo Paris. The program complements the museum's Paris: Life and Luxury exhibit.

2. The Skirball Cultural Center hosts a double feature with films starring legendary escape artist Harry Houdini. The films, Terror Island and Haldane of the Secret Service, begin at 2 p.m. General admission is $6, while full-time students pay $5. Admission is free for members.

3. Make yourself a special meal using fresh ingredients from the Brentwood farmer's market. The market takes place from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. It is at 741 S. Gretna Green Way.

4. Family Amphitheater Performances have returned to the Skirball Center. Today's performance features Filipino dance and music from Kayamanan Ng Lahi. There will be two performances, one at noon and another at 2 p.m. Free with the price of admission. The Skirball Center costs $10 for general admission, $7 for seniors and full-time students and $5 for children age 2-12. Skirball members and children under 2 are free. The Skirball Center is at 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd.
