Whole Foods Market Brentwood raises over $4700 for The Salvation Army Haven

Feed 4 More is an annual community food drive sponsored by Whole Foods Market customers who purchase $5 and $10 breakfast, lunch and dinner meals of non-perishable foods. Items featured include Mac & Cheese, Vegetable Soup, Peanut Butter, Applesauce, Oatmeal, and more. 100% of funds collected are donated to 501(c)3 non-profits in our community fighting hunger.

The beneficiary of Whole Foods Market Brentwood’s fundraising effort was The Salvation Army Haven. The Haven was started in 1994 at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Healthcare Center as an emergency housing program for veterans. The Haven caters to the needs of veterans, on issues such as housing, employment, healthcare, behavioral health, substance abuse and community integration. Every year, more than 2500 veterans are served through their various programs.

In addition to the food donation, the campaign also raised over $4700 in cash. On Thursday, March 20th Store Team Leader Amy LaBoube presented the check to Jessica Brown-Mason (Housing Stability Program Manager) and Eric Poghosyan (Facility and Safety Director) for The Salvation Army Haven.
