Steakhouse Rumored for Former Cheesecake Factory Space

Food blog claims adjacent Brentwood business Coral Tree Cafe is involved in the opening.

With curiousity building each week as renovations happen at 11647 San Vicente Blvd. in Brentwood, otherwise known as the former community staple The Cheesecake Factory, rumors started that a steakhouse is preparing to take over the space, reports EaterLA.

The blog claims adjacent Coral Tree Cafe is involved with the steakhouse venture. However, a Coral Tree public relations contact has repeatedly denied to Patch they are involved with any future business coming next door.

A member of the Brentwood Community Council's Land Use Committee reportedly heard the same rumor that a steakhouse is being constructed by Coral Tree Cafe in the former Cheesecake Factory space, but could not confirm it.

According to the City Planning Department, a permit was approved in January for interior work, which included a comment "that any enlargement of the eating area would require the Department of Building and Safety to recalculate the required parking."

As of late April, there has not been a case filing with the San Vicente Scenic Corridor Design Review Board.
