Why Here?: The name of this bar says it all. Paying homage to the homeland, you can expect Cabo Cantina to be full of enthusiastic bar-hoppers on Cinco de Mayo. Special Offerings: Manager Abraham Arefaine is offering 10% off all Cinco de Mayo catering orders. If you prefer to visit La Salsa and eat there instead, Arefaine recommends ordering the green chili burrito or the avocado enchilada platter.

Parking: Park inside the San Vicente Plaza lot, where parking is free for 30 minutes with validation. Street parking is available.

Order drinks and appetizers, or feast on a hearty Mexican meal in this Santa Monica outpost of the authentic eatery that is modeled after a traditional hacienda. If you’re looking to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in a big way with a group of friends, El Cholo will not disappoint.
Special Offerings: “Our blue corn chicken enchiladas, filet mignon tacos, and El Cholo margaritas are very popular with our customers,” Fernando Reyes, manager of El Cholo, told Patch. “We also offer happy hour from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. which features discounts on draft beers, tacos, and guacamole.”
