Kidville Creates Buzz in the Westside [VIDEO]

With its first location in Los Angeles, more than 300 families already attend the preschool and playspace in Brentwood and it continues gaining attention in the area.

Westside families are hearing more about Kidville in Brentwood, an all-in-one preschool and playspace that opened its first Los Angeles location this summer, and it includes several other amenities for children and parents, too.

Located at 11740 San Vicente Blvd., Kidville offers early childhood development classes for babies, toddlers and kids up to age 5, including classes in music, gym, dancing, art and more. More than a dozen families participated with their children last Friday during the lively and popular 'rockin' railroad' class, which included a four-piece live band comprised of staff members.

"It's a great first experience for new moms," said Christy Desai, owner of the Brentwood location. She said her daughter went to the original Kidville in New York City and it gave her the idea to bring the franchise to L.A.She said they have more than 300 families since they opened at the end of May, including parents coming from Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Beverly Hills and Westwood.

"We're growing faster than expected," she added, noting her 25-member staff is very talented and fun to work with. "We do become part of these people's families."

For class size, Desai said it's one teacher for every four students, and they also offer a 1,400-square-foot gym for classes as well as open play. Desai added they also do birthday parties on the weekend up to age 9. The Brentwood school includes a boutique and salon for kids.

Desai said that being situated along San Vicente is great for parents to come and socialize, as well as make a day of it in Brentwood.
