Gas Prices Edging Downward

Average prices are 2.5 cents lower than they were a week ago.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County declined today for the sixth time in seven days, dropping three-tenths of a cent to $4.361.

The average price is 2.5 cents less than a week ago, but 2.2 cents more than one month ago and 31.8 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price fell today for the eighth time in nine days, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $4.341, 2.4 cents less than a week ago, but 1.1 cents more than one month ago and 31.1 cents higher than one year ago.
