Anti-Fur Activists Protest Store Opening

A group of anti-fur activists from Fur Free Los Angeles gathers outside of the Brentwood Country Mart Friday to protest the opening of a women's clothing store said to sell animal fur.

Activists from the anti-fur group Fur Free Los Angeles held a demonstration at the on Friday in protest of the shopping center's newest addition, Intermix, a women's clothing boutique.

The activist group claims the store sells fur and thus practices inhumane treatment of animals as a result. Some 51,489 signatures have been gathered in support of Fur Free Los Angeles' cause.

Brentwood Patch is awaiting response from Fur Free Los Angeles, Intermix and the Brentwood Country Mart.

They need to stop selling fur now. I think they will be surprised by the activist community in brentwood
