Tanker Truck Crashes on 405 Freeway, Spills Diesel Fuel

No injuries reported. Traffic snarls as crew clear the scene.

A crash involving a tanker truck and a car on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in West Los Angeles today resulted in a spill of about 700 gallons of diesel fuel onto the roadway and the closure of three lanes, officials said.

The crash was reported about 5:40 a.m. near Montana Avenue, said California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.

No injuries were reported, Posada said. Traffic was snarled while crews worked to clear the scene.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
