Come Celebrate Veterans Appreciation Day

Come celebrate 124 years of the Los Angeles National Veterans Home on Sunday, March 4 at 1 p.m. "Veterans Appreciation Day" will honor John P. Jones and Arcadia B. de Baker, land grantors of the March 5, 1888 Deed that promised “To locate, establish, construct and permanently maintain a National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers.” The celebration will be hosted by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 13 of San Fernando Valley. Refreshments include hot dogs, chips, apple cider and anniversary cake. We'd like to thank our sponsors, Whole Foods, Martinelli's Apple Juice, Cory's Kitchen Food Banks, Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills and Chase Bank in West Los Angeles.
