Sweet Crush 'Lights It Up Blue' for Autism Awareness

The shaved ice bar in Brentwood is one of many businesses nationwide participating on the April 2 initiative by Autism Speaks.

A Brentwood business is helping kick off Autism Awareness Month with the "Light It Up Blue" campaign to help raise awareness.

Sweet Crush, a shaved ice bar at 11753 San Vicente Blvd. next to Whole Foods, illuminated its store exterior with blue LED lights to help raise funds for autism. The store opened in the summer of 2012.

"Light It Up Blue" is a unique global initiative that starts Autism Awareness Month and helps raise awareness about autism. In honor of this day, many iconic landmarks, hotels, sporting venues, concert halls, museums, bridges and retail stores are among the hundreds of thousands of homes and communities that take part to Light It Up Blue.
