Silver Lake Father Finds Pot Stash in His Hot Tub

By one estimate, the canvas bag is worth $175,000.

Silver Lake homeowner Mack Reed has no idea how it got there.

But, as he wrote  on his blog Thursday, he found a canvas bag of highly aromatic "high grade drugs" in his empty backyard spa recently.

Reed's recounting notes it was "sealed it tightly into jars, Ziplocs and professionally vacuum-sealed pouches."

According to LAPD inventory, there were 61 containers. By Mack's assessment, they were worth $175,000 on the street.

No clue, of course, how long the bag was there.

But it created quite a dilemma for Reed: what should he do with it? And would the owner be back?

Read the full blog post here to see how Reed solved the problem.

And we hope he'll update us if anything else happens, though he claims pretty much everything that happened is on the blog.
