Girl Scout Cookie Sales Begin Next Week

Cookie orders begin Jan. 13, and they will be also sold in booths beginning Feb. 12.

It's that time of year. Girl Scout Cookie sales begin Jan. 13

Girl Scouts in L.A. are offering the classics: Thin Mints, Caramel deLites/Samoas, Shortbreads/Trefoils, Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs, Peanut Butter Sandwiches/Do-si-dos, and Savannah Smiles. Cookies cost $4 per box.

Orders will begin Jan. 13 and booth sales begin Feb. 12 through March 10.

The cookie program has helped Girl Scouts practice skills such as goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics for more than 80 years.

Please note: This cookie will be sold by troops in the Orange County Girl Scout Council, not by troops in Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles (which includes Venice/Mar Vista). The Orange County Council uses a different baker for its Girl Scout cookies, and not the original Girl Scout cookie maker, Little Brownie Bakers.

I'd like to add that the staff of Patch should check with our regional council, Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, to verify the above information. In Culver City, the Girl Scouts are selling the Super Six, the cookies you mentioned above, MINUS Lemonades, Thank You Berry Munches and Dulce de Leches. I believe this is true of almost all, if not all, of the troops in Los Angeles County.

I preferred the original (50's-60's) versions! That was a long time ago, when I ate as much sugar and fat as I wanted.

Thanks Elizabeth, I'm looking into it!
