Can You Hear These Loud Speed Bumps on Barrington Avenue?

Unique underground construction impacts residents on busy Brentwood street.

Imagine hearing vehicles go over these speed bumps for a mere few hours, let alone an entire week. That's what a couple Brentwood residents are concerned about.

Click the video of the odd underground utility work that's taking place in the 400 block of Barrington Avenue in Brentwood. Resident Gerry Wallfesh notified Patch over the weekend about that road section being closed Saturday, June 8 while there was an open manhole and two metal ramps on both sides of Barrington.

A Barrington Avenue resident told Patch Tuesday she received a notice from a construction company over the weekend that they would be spending the next week repairing underground sewer connections in line for a residential development nearby.

As the woman spoke to Patch during Tuesday rush hour, a Santa Monica Big Blue Bus had to gracefully negotiate the speed bump near parked cars.

Is this odd speed bump impacting you?
