Book Ends to Stage Book Sorting Party

There's also still time to donate your gently used books to charity that collects books for children who don't have them.

The Book Ends book drive in Brentwood is drawing to a close and the charity will celebrate with a book sorting party at the corner of San Vicente Boulevard and Montana Avenue on Sunday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The public is invited to help pack and sort the books that were donated as part of the area-wide book drive this month. There will also be several activities for kids, including bookmark making and a balloon artist, according to the Bookends website.

New and gently used books can still be dropped off through Saturday, May 19, at various locations, including the Brentwood Public Library, Brentwood Presbyterian Church, Fire Station #19, Diesel Bookstore and Vicente Foods.
