Restrictions in Place for Sepulveda Blvd. Widening for at Least 10 Months

Beginning Tuesday night, July 23, the widening of Sepulveda Boulevard south of Skirball Bridge will require frequent reduction of Sepulveda Boulevard from Mountaingate Drive to Skirball Center Drive.

At times these reductions will limit
Sepulveda Boulevard to one northbound lane
remaining open from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m, according to Metro.

The widening of Sepulveda is designed to create added capacity to accommodate the new southbound Skirball ramps.

These intermittent closures are anticipated to last 10 months.

Sepulveda Boulevard widening work includes:

- Excavation and grading of the hillside west of Sepulveda Boulevard
- Construction of retaining walls west of Sepulveda Boulevard
- Roadway widening and paving.
