There is no incumbent running for this position as current Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky is stepping down, so the June 3 election should be a wide-open contest.
Pamela Conley Ulich, Bobby Shriver, Sheila Kuehl and John Duran have confirmed their attendance at the forum to answer questions. If you would like to have your question considered for inclusion by the event organizers, send it to email@example.com by April 28.
The League of Women Voters of Santa Monica (LWVSM) and Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP) are co-sponsoring the forum, which marks the second time these organizations have partnered to give candidates a chance make their positions and principles known in detail to local voters.
Over the years, the LWVSM has organized and presented numerous candidates forums to familiarize Santa Monica voters with their local candidates, and to give candidates a chance to make their voices heard in keeping with the League's firm belief that a democracy can only thrive when its citizens are fully informed.
The forum will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 10 to 11:30a.m. at the Edye Second Stage at the Broad Theater, 11th and Arizona in Santa Monica. There will be free parking.
To R.S.V.P, contact rsvp@LAUP.net before May 1.
