Mulholland Bridge Closure Runs Late

Commuters using the Mulholland Bridge to get to work were faced with an extra delay this morning, thanks to a hitch in the overnight construction work last night.

"The contractor ran into problems," said David Sotero, spokesperson for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

The bridge is expected to re-open at noon today. All but one lane was open over the bridge through the morning commute hours, however Sotero said that the reports he had indicacated that traffic was not overly bad.

"It's kind of a Friday morning light thing," he said, "maybe because of it being a holiday weekend."
